CROSSOVER VOTING IS A CRIME
Crossover voting is defined as voting in one party's preferential primary (March 5) and the other party's runoff (April 2). Voters who cast a ballot in the Democratic Preferential Primary will NOT be eligible to vote in this election.

 

Crossover voting is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year incarceration and a fine of up to $2,500.

The statewide runoff for Arkansas Supreme Court Chief Justice will be conducted in November.

Absentee Voting

Voters that received an absentee ballot for the preferential primary (March 5) and are eligble to vote in the runoff will be sent a ballot automatically.

Canvassing and Counting of Absentee Ballots - April 2nd - 10:00 a.m.

 

Compiling & Publishing Unofficial Election Results - April 2nd - 7:30 p.m.

 

Provisional Ballot Hearings* - April 8th - 12:00 p.m.

 

Final Review and Counting of Provisional Ballots* - April 8th - 12:00 p.m.

 

Recount* - April 10th - 10:00 a.m.

 

Post Election Audit* - April 11th - 10:00 a.m.

 

Certification of the Election - April 12th - 5:00 p.m. 

 

*In the event these meetings are not necessary they may be canceled.
